Hello, Darling,

After your horrified look of yesterday morning, I can only imagine what's going through your mind.  I say that I can only imagine, darling, because literally, that's what I'd have to do.  You shouldn't worry, really.  Worse things have happened.  You'll have to trust me on this.

I am disappointed that you left so quickly.  I have lots of scrapbooks, photos, snaps of Merry, letters that we wrote to one another, and other items of that nature that might interest you, that might fill in some of your missing blanks.  I'd love to share them with you; we could do dinner, perhaps?  The elves are fabulous cooks.  I'd have them make your favorite.  Whatever that might be.

Take some time, calm down, know that I'd never do anything to harm you, and owl me.
