Blaise,
Happy New Year and all that rot, darling.
Have you heard from Trace lately? I dropped by earlier and no one answered. It's unlike her to not tell anyone where she was going. I want you to know that I do appreciate the floo call the other night. I don't do dramatic and hysterical well, so I'm glad she seemed to be holding up all right. Or was it just for show? I'm loathe to admit that I just can't tell anymore. The student has become the master or some such. Anyhow, if you hear from her, drop me a line.
And one more thing: I am, and always have been, prettier than you. Even with the old nose. Do with that information what you will.
Love,
Pans

{attatched note:}
Dear Hannah,
I'm writing to extend my gratitude for your gift of the new breed of roses at Christmas. They are lovely, smell wonderful, and seem to be a little more tolerant than the pink variety. Please feel welcome to come and see them whenever you wish. You can even bring your boyfriend.
Sincerely,
Pansy D. Parkinson
