Su took a deep breath and brought her hand up to knock on the door of Theodore's flat.
Theodore heard the knock as he toweled off in the restroom. "What the hell?" He tied a towel around his waist and headed to the front of the house, glancing at the clock in the hallway when he did. "It's after midnight!"
Su shifted from foot to foot as she waited for him to open the door.
The door swung open, revealing Theodore in a towel. "I'm sorry to bother you so late at night, but--"
"Su? What the hell are you doing here?" Theo asked rudely, cutting her off mid-sentence.
"I saw my sister just now... She gave me this to give to you." She held out the note.
"Thank you," he said, taking it. He started to close the door, when she reached out and stopped him. "Anything else?"
"We need to talk."
The way Su said the words sent a shiver down his spine. "What?"
"We need to talk. If you are going to insist upon talking to my sister, we need to clear the air."
"We are two adults, Miss Li; I think we can interact with each other without clearing the air."
"Mr. Nott -- Theo, I need to clear the air for my own benefit at least."
He raised his eyebrows with interest and moved to the side, making a sweeping gesture to motion her inside.
Pulling her shoulders back, Su entered his flat. It was practically run down. He had two pieces of furniture in the small room that served as both the living room and the dining room, a small table with two chairs along with a couch in the living room. Su was taken back at the scarce furnishings and the empty space because he acted so grandly, like a gentleman who would have millions of Galleons in the bank.
"My humble home," Theo said sarcastically, perfectly aware of her surprise.
She swung around to face him. "Theo, I didn't know."
"No one knows, Su; being broke is not something I flaunt."
Su frowned at her. "When we were in Beijing you never said..."
"As I said, I don't flaunt it, Miss Li." Su frowned at him. "But you didn't come here to discuss my monetary problems. You came to discuss something else. Something you have yet to actually explain."
Su sighed. "Why did you have sex with Pansy Parkinson the moment you came back to London?"
Theo stood here, frozen. "Excuse me?" Fury immediately built up in him, almost blinding him so he was only seeing red.
"Why did you fuck Pansy when you came to London? You told me you loved me, then turn around and fuck some slut when you are away from me? Did you ever love me or was that just a lie to get me into bed?" Su was pacing now, her words coming out of her mouth before she had time to think.
He couldn't look at her. The accusations were such an outright lie it sickened him. "Where the fuck did you get that from?"
"Everyone knows! I mentioned that I was seeing you, that I was in love with you, and everyone was ready to spill the beans. Theodore Nott fucked Pansy Parkinson!"
"Are you aware I haven't spoken to Miss Parkinson in five years? I haven't fucked her in about six or seven. You just ran with the rumours and didn't fucking bother to tell me why you were pissed at me?"
Su closed her eyes, feeling a rush of guilt. "Theo..." She reached out to touch his arm, but he jerked it away.
"Don't touch me."
"Theo, what was I supposed to do? Everyone told me the same thing."
"You believed them over me."
"Theo, what would you have done if the roles were reserved? If someone said I had slept with some other guy?"
"I would have talked to you, Miss Li. I would have talked to you about it and not just assumed it was true."
"Theo! You would not have. You--"
"Don't ask me what I would have done if you don't want to know."
Su sighed, crossing her arms protectively over her chest. "You hate me, don't you?"
"No, Miss Li. I do not hate you if only for the sake of Chi."
"Chi adores you you know."
"The feeling is quite mutual."
Su frowned. "Are we done?"
"You tell me Miss Li? Do you have any other unfounded accusations to throw at me?"
"Screw you, Mr. Nott," she muttered as she turned around and headed for the door. "Screw you."
Theo slammed the door behind her, livid. She thought I cheated on her. That's why she never contacted me again. She believed the lies and rumours over what told her: the truth. Screw Su. He looked down at the note in his hand and opened it.
Mr. Nott,
Thank you so much for getting back to me so soon. I can't wait to see you Monday. I'll be at the London Zoo on Monday at four. Then we can go to Diagon Alley together without my mom knowing.

He smiled, making a mental note to tell Applegate he would have to leave the office early and not to disturb him for any reason until Tuesday morning.
