I want the moon and the stars // I want the whole nine yards
After Pansy left, Draco felt it was time to have a chat with Ginny. He'd spent the rest of the afternoon practicing what he was going to say for when she got home. Home. That was the whole point. He had Tindy make supper, mainly because he did not want to muck it up. He'd finally groomed himself properly and was waiting in the Green Room, as Tindy called it, for Ginny to arrive.

Ginny had tried paying attention at work. She really had. It was hard, however. She was sure that the people who'd taken Draco would come back for him. She knew Catter's End had some of the best wards in London, but it didn't change her fear. Maybe it would always be there. Maybe it should always be there.

She was glad the day was over. She wanted nothing more than to come home, eat dinner, take a bath, and read next to Draco in bed. "Draco? Are you home?" Ginny hung her robes on the stand by the door, rolling her neck muscles, a hand massaging at the base of her skull.

"In here," he called.

She sounded tired. Maybe she wanted to eat in bed then go to sleep. He'd ask. He was tired all the time anyhow these days. He could sleep.

"You look tired. Are you all right? You want some wine or something? Tindy made dinner."

Ginny smiled at him, the worries of the day forgotten for a moment. "Wine would be wonderful, actually."

Draco snapped at Tindy. He was finding that the more he ordered her about since his return, the happier she was. He didn't mean anything by it, it was just how they worked. The house-elf seemed to like it, so Draco was not overly concerned that he was being mean.

"Sit down. Take your shoes off. I wanted to talk. Unless you're hungry. If so, we can eat then talk."

"I can wait," she said, sitting in the chair across from him. Toeing off her shoes, she leaned back, resting her head against the chair back. Sighing, Ginny smiled over at him. "How was your day?"

Draco slid off onto the floor and took one of her feet in his hands. He started massaging gently. "I sat outside most of the day in a deck chair. Pansy came by. We talked a little."

Groaning appreciatively at the work his hands were doing, Ginny closed her eyes. "How is Pansy?"

"Prickly, but that's not unusual. She warned me against doing anything stupid. Not unusual either."

Draco looked at her for a moment, with her eyes closed and a pleased smile on her face.

"You want to move in here with me," he blurted out.

Ginny's eyes flew open. "What?" She hadn't meant for her voice to be that shrill.

"Um nothing. Nevermind," Draco said nervously. "I'm going to go check on the food. Hungry. Yes. Good."

He bolted from the room like a girl.

She stared at the place he'd just flew from, blinking. Had he just asked her to move in? She jumped up from the chair and chased after him, the kitchen door swinging shut after her. "What did you ask me?"

"What," Draco said loudly. Then he grabbed a piece if bread from one of the plates of food and stuffed the whole thing in his mouth. He almost couldn't chew properly.

She stalked over to him, slapping at his hand when it reached for another piece of bread. "Draco Malfoy, you tell me right now what you asked me! Ask it again!"

His mouth was still loaded with bread. "My mant moo moo moove min mith me."

Ginny's eyes widened. "I don't speak elvish. English. Ask me in English."

Draco made a face at her before he finally finished chewing and swallowed. He looked down and mumbled. "I asked if you wanted to move in here."

"You want me to move in here. With you," she repeated. He nodded. "Why?" She felt like an idiot asking, but there were so many things she wanted to say. She needed to make sure first. Needed to be certain this wasn't just because of what he'd gone through. What they'd gone through.

Draco looked up with a scowl. "What do you mean why? I love you, and I like being around you. Is there another reason I should have?"

She looked at him for a long moment. "No," she finally said. "That's plenty." Ginny looked down at her hands, picking at her fingernails out of nervousness. It was ridiculous, being nervous around him, but she was. She couldn't help but think this wouldn't have been happening if he hadn't been taken. Things like that put other things in perspective. "When?"

"I suppose today's out," Draco said, smiling. "Whenever you would like, but sooner suits me better, and I would prefer Potter not help with the moving. Assuming you want to."

"I'll need to talk with Luna," Ginny said, looking back up at him. "I mean, she'll need to know. She'll have to find someone else to take my room. She can't be there all by herself." She'd be lying if she didn't think it'd be sad, moving away from Luna. They'd lived together for years now. Yes, they'd both been busy these last few months. So busy they didn't see each other very much anymore, actually. They were still roommates, though. "I think she'll be prepared. We'd already talked about it a little bit."

Draco smiled. Maybe he could help find Moon a roomie. He strangely didn't like the idea of her being by herself either. Likely because he was starting to appreciate her via Gin.

"Of course you'll talk to Luna. And you tell her she is welcome here anytime, at any hour if she needs you for best mate duties. Here's an idea about a roommate - there are plenty of teachers coming this way this summer for the school. They'll need places to stay too. Just a thought."

She wanted to move in with him. Draco wanted to dance, which was ridiculous.

Ginny smiled. "Now there's a thought." Her mind was already working. She had someone in mind to suggest. Someone close. She smiled up at him, knowing it probably looked a bit goofy. "So now we eat?"

"Are you staying tonight?"

"Unless you'd like one more night to yourself. Maybe break the news to the room full of bottles?" She grinned.

"I think the bottles already know."

"Are you serious? Her? Really?"

Draco ignored Millicent. He really was getting much better at it, but they would really need to have a chat soon. He wanted her to go somewhere else when he was with Ginny. When he was with Ginny, he wanted to be with just Ginny.

"I'd like you to stay, obviously, and I hope you are hungry. It looks as if Tindy made lots."

She grinned wider. "Starved."
