Welcome. The work you'll be doing for us requires a certain commitment.
Demelza put the files she still had to work on in her desk drawer before grabbing her purse and leaning down to help her feet back into her heels. She stood and made her way to the lift waving hello to the few office girls she was friendly with. When she reached the Atrium she walked out to an apparition point and was soon in front of Madam Puddifoots.

She walked inside taking a seat at one of the many empty tables and ordered her tea. These days Puddifoots wasn't that busy, probably due to Happy Hearth down the street. She couldn't go there though, people might be nosy, try to hear what two women would be talking about as they exchanged papers among other things.

Demelza waited for a few minutes, sipping her cooled tea. Finally she looked up and saw Juliana Thorne make her way into the tea shop. She waited for her to sit down and get settled before she said anything. "So, did Felicity like the snaps we gave her last month? Were they any good to her?"

Juliana adjusted her glasses as she looked down at several papers she had pulled out of her satchel. "It looks like she did, though I haven't talked to her about it myself. What with all the different channels, I hardly see her ever. Probably as much as you do." To keep anyone, especially the people they blackmailed, finding out who the person in charge was, they all changed contacts regularly, changing meeting places, procedure. The only thing that really stayed the same was their silver, they used that to contact each other.

Demelza nodded. "So, is he a full on member, or does he just donate to the cause?"

"Donate. Mother decided he wasn't the type. Would probably rat on us in two seconds flat, no she decided he would be of much better use as a bank roller. We keep the pictures, he gets to stay in the illusion of a happy marriage, not a disgrace to his family's name." She smiled, sipping the tea that was placed before her.

"Now let's see, your account at Gringotts has been added to, the correct sum that has been agreed upon by Felicity for your work. Damien's has as well, someone else is meeting with him. Did you have any questions before I start in on your next assignment?"

"No, I do not," Demelza said wondering how much had been placed in her account, what could be bought with the money. "Wait," she said after a moment, suddenly thinking of something. "I won't have to visit this man again, will I? He was downright grabby, made me very uncomfortable."

Juliana rose an eyebrow, "Getting squeamish are we? I thought after the Gorden case you could handle yourself."

"No, that isn't it. He was just..." she shook her head, "I would just prefer not to see the man again. Perhaps you could have Ava do it?"

"Sure," Juliana said, a chuckle escaping her lips. "I don't think we were going to have you go back anyway. He was downright incensed when he saw the photos. Face turned purple, or so I hear." She shrugged. "Now, here's the dossier on your next assignment." She picked up a folder from the pile of papers on the table and handed it to Demelza.

Demelza opened the file and started scanning it, folding the picture of the man up to read underneath. He was an investor for some company, she didn't care, she really only looked at the employment section to make sure they didn't work in the Ministry. She didn't think it was too wise, getting caught up in someone where she worked, you really could run into anyone in the lifts. What was that phrase, don't shite where you eat? She didn't really concern herself with wondering how much money they made either, if they were in her dossier, they had enough.

She folded the paper back to see his face again, "Well, at least he isn't some awful troll-like person. Really, I couldn't handle another, I've had four in a row now. " She read his known likes and dislikes.

"You have got to be kidding me. Seriously, he's into that?"

"What man isn't? You still have your school robes, yes? Maybe you can have them altered, raise the hemline, I mean. He frequents Madam Bundy's. Actually, I'm not sure that frequents is the right word to describe it. He goes there almost every night, really perverse man, you watch yourself."

Demelza gave a reassuring smile to Juliana, she knew the girl cared more than she liked to let on. She didn't know much of her past, but she knew Juliana hated when one of the girls was harmed. "I will. Wouldn't want you to have to get back into the game."

Juliana grimaced. "Me either." She had used to have Demelza's job, but was ambitious and had shown enough aspirations for higher ground that she was rewarded with such. The Glorious Mother was known for rewarding those that showed devotion.

"So, I think I'll scout around Madam Bundy's, see what route presents itself and then I'll contact you, have you get in touch with Damien."

"No, I think we'll have you message Damien directly." Juliana started gathering her notes, all charmed so lookers on would only see gibberish. "Change of protocol for this one." She stood up and smiled down at Demelza, "See you when I see you. Be safe."

"I will," Demelza said, finishing her tea.

Summary: Demelza meets with one of her Liberi handlers and gets a new assignment.
