Blaise grinned as he saw Hannah continue to wring her hands and pace. "I told you, Narcissa won't bite or anything. She's very..." He stopped and thought for a moment.
"Nice?"
He laughed. "No, not nice. She's a Malfoy and a Black. She's... Narcissa. That's all I can say. You'll understand more when you meet her."
Yeah, that didn't really calm Hannah down. She was still nervous. The first day she'd met Draco he had hexed her. Who knew what his mum would do. Though she doubted Blaise would allow anything to happen to her. She moved closer to him. Malfoy Manor did nothing to alleviate her nervousness either. It was very... scary. And there were peacocks. Which was weird.
Hannah was right up on Blaise as the were let into the entrance hall.
Blaise grinned and put his arm around her shoulders.
"I promise, she won't bite."
"I think you of all people, Blaise Zabini, should know by now that you never say that to a Malfoy. We'll take it as a challenge."
He grinned and took Narcissa's offered hand and kissed the back of it. "Narcissa, I'd like to introduce you to my girlfriend, Hannah Abbott. Hannah, this is Draco's mother, Narcissa Malfoy."
Hannah's eyes went wide. Her head whipped around to look at Blaise. Girlfriend? Really? She didn't recall them actually talking about that and using that word. Was that appropriate? Less than a month ago, she'd been about to marry Wayne Hopkins and now she had a boyfriend?
Yes, yes, she had a boyfriend.
Then she realized Narcissa Malfoy was watching her look at Blaise with that goofy grin on her face.
"I'm so terribly sorry. How rude of me," Hannah held out her hand. "I'm so pleased to meet you."
Narcissa smiled and grasped Hannah's hand.
"Hannah, it is wonderful to meet you. Please, won't you come into the sitting for tea? It's been so long since I've been able to chat you with, Blaise. I received an owl from your mother the other day."
Blaise rolled his eyes and followed Narcissa into the sitting room. "Is she still with Paulo?"
Narcissa laughed. "She hasn't been with him in a month. I've forgotten the name of her man of the moment, but this is not about your mother, it is about you." She summoned a house elf and ordered tea for them. "Now, Blaise, how in this world did you manage to get a wonderful woman like Hannah?"
The tea was delivered and Narcissa took a sip of her tea.
He grinned and put his arm against the back of the couch they were sitting on. "Well, we were going to just be friends first since Hannah had just gotten out of a bad relationship, but we really have your son to thank for getting us together."
Narcissa put her tea down and sighed. "What has the little bastard done now?"
Hannah gasped. Narcissa Malfoy seemed so cultured, yet the swear had fallen past her lips like the woman invented the word. Not that one could not be cultured and have a foul mouth. Hannah just had not expected it.
"It really wasn't that bad," Hannah offered, not wanting to get Draco in trouble for some odd reason. "I think Blaise is just upset that Draco hexed him and got to see me in my undies."
Narcissa stared at Hannah in alarm before looking back at Blaise.
"He hexed you?" she asked Blaise before turning to Hannah. "And saw you in your underwear?"
"Well," Blaise said with a smug grin, "He got to see her underwear after he hexed her. So it was hexes all around. I got him back of course."
Narcissa's eyes narrowed and her mouth became almost a snarl. She quickly summoned a house-elf.
"Go to Draco's room and tell him Blaise is here with Miss Abbott and they are waiting in the sitting room. Now."
Hannah blinked. Draco's mum was scary. Hannah was glad it was not her Mrs Malfoy was upset with. Hannah would probably have to cry.
Draco moved slowly. After the house-elf had informed him there were visitors in the forms of an Abbott and a Zabini, he was in no hurry to see them. Couldn't they be off shagging or something? That's what he'd be doing. He'd have left Abbott in her very noteworthy unmentionables, dressed to match her, and started the revolution.
Draco strolled into the sitting room with his hands in his pockets.
"Hullo, Sunshine... and B..." His eyebrow went up. "Mother."
Narcissa glared at him. "Sit. Now."
Blaise snickered.
Draco glared at Blaise and sat... next to Hannah. She stiffened, and he gave her knee a friendly pat. He tried to leave his hand there, but Hannah slapped it away.
"What have they told you... because whatever it is, it certainly isn't the entire tale."
"Oh really?" Narcissa arched an eyebrow. "So you didn't hex dear Hannah and strip her down to her underwear? Well then, that's a relief."
Blaise smirked behind Hannah's back. "Did I mention he strung her up in my bed afterwards and hid in my closet to see my reaction? I didn't? Oh, oops. That's the best part. Claimed he was taking her out on a date and then hexed her. First day they met, as well."
Draco rolled his eyes. "Well, if denial wasn't just a river in Egypt with you, then I wouldn't have had to resort to such drastic measures. Poor Hannah thinking you didn't fancy her at all, when I could see that wasn't the case. Yes, I hexed her and put her in your bed. At the rate you were going, she'd be eighty before she was in your bed. And we knew each other before. Hello... school. We'd just never been on what I'd call friendly terms."
Hannah was blushing furiously, and her mouth was hanging open.
"I didn't do it to be mean or because I don't like Hannah or anything. It was just irritating watching you two watch each other when you thought the other wasn't looking."
Before Narcissa could answer him, Blaise leaned around Hannah and glared.
"Because that isn't hypocritical at all, Mr. I'd Rather Be Gay Than Tell A Girl I Like Her. I'm sorry, who was it that applies to? Oh right, you."
Narcissa narrowed her eyes and scowled at Draco. "What?"
"This from the man posing as my boyfriend."
Glares all around for that comment.
"Oh for fuck's sake," Draco snapped. "Gin saw that snap of myself and B kissing from fifth year and took it the wrong way. I didn't correct her because I wanted her to relax around me. I will admit it has gotten a bit out of hand, but I do plan to correct it the next time I see her."
Draco leaned around Hannah and looked at Blaise. "You had no plans to say anything. You were going to just keep wanting her and having her want you. I'm all for torture, but damn."
Narcissa pulled her wand out and sent a blast of soapy water into Draco's mouth.
"You are in the presence of two ladies. Watch your language. I know I raised you better than that."
Draco spit out the soapy water. "B swears all the time in front of the ladies!"
Narcissa just smiled sweetly. "But I'm not Blaise's mother, now am I?"
Hannah giggled. She was beginning to like Draco's mother, scary though she was.
"As good as," Draco retorted. "You look after him, and I've heard you say worse, Mother. They say damn on the Muggle vellytision."
Hannah giggled again. "Television."
"Whatever."
Narcissa growled and pointed her wand again. "I am allowed to say whatever I please, Draco Orion Malfoy! Do not make me hex you!" She slid her wand back into her sleeve and huffed. "You boys are behaving abysmally. Can't you see you're making Hannah nervous?" She rolled her eyes.
"Hannah, I'm going to let you in on a little secret." Narcissa leaned and mock-whispered. "Men are hopeless idiots."
"Oi!" Blaise said, glaring at Narcissa, who waved him off. She picked up her tea and warned it with her wand before taking a sip.
"Oh don't be offended, darling. That was a compliment." She turned to Draco. "And you are to tell Ginny Weasley you are heterosexual or I swear before Merlin I will create a wizarding VD and inflict it on you!"
"Did I or did I NOT just say I planned to do so the very next time I saw her?!"
Hannah bristled at Draco's shouting. She didn't mean to. She knew it wasn't directed at her, but she really did not like shouting. Especially from men. He turned and looked at her suddenly. His head whipped around so fast Hannah jumped again. Draco was studying her with a furrowed brow.
Draco sighed, bothered by something. Well, he was bothered by a lot lately, but something about the way Hannah Abbott reacted to his shouting troubled him. He'd think on it later though.
"Honestly, I'd planned to tell her and take my bat bogey hex to the face like a grown-up. It's not as if she can avoid me forever. I'm her-" Thank Salazar he cut himself off before he said patient. His mother did not know about the scarring. Draco unconsciously rubbed the sleeve over his left arm.
"Friend," he finished after a very awkwardly long pause.
Blaise laughed. "Oh, so you can be friends with your girl, but I can't be friends with mine?"
"She's only mine in my head, pillock. I've no certainly on whether I am hers, so yes, I shall be calling her my friend out loud, and can we NOT discuss this in front of MY MOTHER?"
"Lower your voice or I'll remove your tongue, Draco. I won't have you shouting and disrupting what could possibly be a civilized conversation. Something I haven't had with you in years. Behave." Narcissa sighed. "And Lucius wondered why I wanted girls."
Draco let out a loud sigh and folded his arms across his chest, pouting.
Hannah reached over and gave his knee a timid pat, trying not to giggle. She hoped she was never on the receiving end of Mrs Malfoy's ire.
"So we're not even going to talk about how Hannah's been in Blaise's pants and he was going to stay friends with her?"
Hannah gasped. "It's not like that at all, Draco Malfoy. He loaned me those so I could get out of my wedding dress. When I stayed the night and slept in his bed, I wore my own nightie. Yes, I had been expecting my flannel jimjams and got the blue nookie nightie instead, but that was the house-elf's fault because he knew how I felt."
Then she noticed how everyone was looking at her.
"Oh."
Narcissa pulled her wand out again. "Blaise Zabini, you tell me right now you did not steal her away on her wedding night!"
Up until now, Blaise had been smirking and sending smug glances in Draco's direction. Now at the business end of Narcissa Malfoy's wand, he lurched back and was ready to take cover.
"No! No no no! No stealing! At all! She stole herself!"
"Oh my goodness, it's true! I ran away! It had nothing to do with Blaise. My fiance was cheating on me."
"You never did tell me his name," Draco said drolly.
"You're not hexing him."
"But I honestly think he deserves a hexing or thrashing at least. Something."
"He's not worth it."
Draco sighed. "I'll find out, and I'll do it, and you won't know it was me."
"You just told me, so I think I would know it was you." Hannah frowned. "Why would you do that anyhow?"
"Because anyone who'd cheat on a girl like you and cause you to feel about yourself like I see that you feel, to doubt your worth, because honestly, Blaise doesn't want to give into temptation with worthless things... anyhow, any bloke who'd do that sort of a mindfuck on a girl the likes of you is a right bastard who deserves to have his prick removed. And I'd do it because B likes you. We're Slytherins, and we might do a bit of friendly backstabbing every so often within our circle, but if you mess with one of us, you're pretty much messing with us all. This wanker hurt you. I like hurting things back."
"You're a little scary, did you know?"
Draco snorted.
Hannah's eyes were wide.
Narcissa rolled her eyes. "And that would be the Black side of him talking, much as I'd hate to admit." She paused. "You say you ran away, Hannah? You wouldn't have happened to be down the aisle at the time, would you? Decided that you were the one who objected to the marriage?"
Hannah blushed.
Draco was grinning like a maniac. "You did that? That's fan-bloody-tastic! Good on you."
"Yes," Hannah answered.
"That entirely rocks the bloody Casbah. Go Sunshine."
Hannah gave Draco a look. "Well, I'm so glad YOU find it funny. I find it awful."
Narcissa gave her a small grin. "You shouldn't. You did the right thing. Yes, I know exactly who you are now. Trust me, darling, you would have been nothing but a simple trophy wife. And if anyone realizes what a bore a trophy wife is, it is me. You do not seem the type to sit around and do as you're told."
Blaise rolled his eyes. "Your social circles are far too large, you realize? You know everything about everyone."
Narcissa just smirked.
Hannah sighed. "Well, I was disgustingly well-trained. I'm slowly breaking out of that. I hope."
"You should go to the Halloween hootenanny in Hogsmeade," Draco suggested. "With Blaise."
"I'll be there anyway. Madam Puddifoot's is serving my baked items that night."
"You... bake things?" Draco asked, mouth already watering a bit. "Wait.. Puddifoot's? It was YOU."
"What was me?" Hannah asked, alarmed.
"You made those biscuits. I've had your biscuits."
Hannah giggled then, quite relieved. Blaise had not been kidding when he said Draco liked baked goods.
Blaise snorted. "Well, if you go, don't expect me to dress up or anything like that. I refuse to dress up like a fool just to make ickle kiddies happy."
"Oh, but you have to dress up," Hannah said. "I'm dressing up, and I'll bet Draco is too."
"The fuck I am."
Hannah reached over and pinched his thigh quite hard.
"OWWW!" Draco was scowling and rubbing his thigh. "All right, all right, I'll dress up. Stay away from my nipples with that."
Narcissa sent more soapy water at Draco's mouth. "I will not tell you again! Watch your language!"
"Nipples is a medical term. It's the name of the body part."
Hannah was trying very hard not to laugh. It seemed he had forgotten he'd said the F word.
"Isn't it? Nipples isn't a swear."
He seemed honestly affronted that he'd gotten soap to the mouth for the word nipples. Hannah could not contain her giggles any longer.
Narcissa ground her teeth. "I was not referring to that, young man. It was your other word."
Blaise joined in laughing with Hannah. He used the chance to hug her a bit closer to him, and hoped no one noticed. "Oh, like you haven't said the word fuck before, Narcissa."
Hannah reached down and pinched him on the thigh. Blaise let out a bit of a howl.
"Don't swear."
Narcissa smiled and tucked her wand away while Blaise scowled.
"So, any other reason you came to visit besides getting Draco in trouble?"
Blaise grinned and shook his head.
"Lovely. You must either stay for dinner or dine with us sometime in the following weeks. I'll make sure Draco is on his best behavior."
"Thank you so much," Hannah said. "Dinner in a few weeks would be lovely. Perhaps Draco can invite Ginny... provided he still has all his body parts after telling her that he's been lying to her all this time."
Narcissa grinned and motioned for her and Hannah to stand. She took Hannah's hands in her own. "I think you and I are going to get along quite well." She turned to Blaise and glared. "Mess this up and the Zabini line will end with you."
Blaise's eyes widened as he nodded. He turned to Draco. "I thought when you came back she'd get off my arse but that is obviously not the case."
Draco let out a huff of air as he got to his feet. Blaise had just said arse, and there had been no soap. Everyone was looking at him. Draco pointed to Blaise and then to his own rear.
"No," Hannah said, not even believing what came out of her mouth next. "My boyfriend is not going to spank you in front of your mother, Draco. I'm sorry."
Blaise started choking, and Hannah started hitting him on the back.
Narcissa threw her head back and laughed.
"Yes, now I certainly remember why I wanted girls."
Hannah smiled at her. Who would have thought? She liked Draco Malfoy's mother.
"Thank you for having us," Hannah said pleasantly to Narcissa. "Try to be honest and stay out of trouble, Draco."
Draco snorted.
"I'll send some biscuits by for you."
He grinned and took her hand and kissed the back of it, while smirking at Blaise.
Narcissa slapped the back of his head after he let go of Hannah's hand. "Stop trying to get reactions out of people."
Blaise smirked at him as he kissed Narcissa's cheek. "I'll owl you about dinner, Narcissa." He then turned to Draco. "Yes, Draco, be honest and stay out of trouble. And no more being gay. My poor heart can't take another break-up with you."
Hannah frowned at Blaise. "Oh honestly. You're both too ridiculous."
"I learned it from watching you," Draco said with a cheeky grin to his mother.
Her eyebrow arched as she turned to the house-elf waiting by the door. "Fetch Draco's baby albums, would you? I'm sure Hannah would love to see them." She turned to Hannah and smirked. "Draco loved to run around in nothing at all, much to his father's irritation. It was either that or lacy baby frocks."
Hannah gasped and looked at Draco. "I'll be sure to advise Ginny about the baby books." Then she looked at Blaise, wondering if he liked to run about naked as well.
Draco leaned to her ear. "Yes, and he still does."
Hannah blushed.
"Go on then. Summon the books if you must, Mother. I can even re-enact things if you like." He would not, but they didn't know that. "I also liked to wear her evening gowns when I was a little boy. Strapless black satin really is the look for me."
She pointed in his direction. "If one article of clothing leaves your body I will personally see Ginny Weasley and tell her not only are you not homosexual, but that you write her love poetry. You still have some that you wrote when you were seven. A few simple charms to change the names to Ginny and we'll be all set. I'll even throw in a few baby photos. Who knows? I might send them to the entire family. I'm sure Fred Weasley still has some tricks up his sleeve. And don't forget, I'm very good friends with the Head of Magical Law Enforcement. I'm sure she'd just love to meet you."
Draco blinked. He never learned. He absolutely never learned.
"Well, I had not actually planned nudity into my day, whether it be live or captured, so Blaise and I will just leave you both to your... evening."
Mental note: do not EVER make Narcissa Malfoy angry. Hannah moved as close to Blaise as she could.
Blaise let out a surprised laugh. "Right. Don't fuck with Narcissa. I'd forgotten that, somehow."
As Blaise and Hannah were out the door ready to leave, Narcissa pulled her wand out.
"Oh Blaise darling?"
When he turned, he got a face full of soapy water.
"You boys will learn to watch your language or I'm sewing your lips shut. The muggle way." After that she smiled at Hannah. "Do be a dear and stop in for tea sometime. You and I have much to talk about!"
"All right," Hannah said, eyes wide. Yes, Draco's mother was scary, but she sort of liked that about her.
The next thing she knew, she was standing in Blaise's sitting room with him. Hannah stumbled a bit. She had not been expecting the apparation.
"My goodness. That was very nerve-wrecking."
Blaise was still sputtering and trying to rid himself of soap.
"You poor dear. Did you want me to have Didly bring you a glass of water?"
"I doubt it would help," he croaked. "Damn, I hate it when that happens. When she gets that wand in hand everyone runs for cover. Don't worry, I've had worse hexings from her." He made a face that made Hannah laugh. "Thanks for laughing at my pain."
"I'm not... your face... you just looked so silly just then. Oh Blaise, don't be cross."
She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him, then pulled back making a face of her own.
"What?"
"You taste like soap."
He rolled his eyes. "What did you expect? Chocolate?"
Hannah pinched him.
"Ow!"
{SUMMARY} Blaise takes Hannah to meet Narcissa and to get Draco in some trouble.

He laughed. "No, not nice. She's a Malfoy and a Black. She's... Narcissa. That's all I can say. You'll understand more when you meet her."

"Ow!"
