Mum,

Happy Birthday from all of us at Seashell Cottage (and Gabby, who's here in spirit)! The yarn is for your sweaters or anything else that might strike your fancy. The photo albums are for each of your grandchildren, to collect all the snaps every grandmum should have.

I'll see you tomorrow at Fred's wedding. Now that's something I hadn't expected to say.

Bill, Fleur, Gabrielle and Fabian,

Thank you so much for your birthday wishes! I've been drowning in lovely owls all day! I hope all of you are doing well!

Thank you so much for the yarn and the photo albums. It seems as if I'll never be finished with making the sweaters this year! There's just so many to make (not that I'm complaining), so the yarn will come in very handy!

The photo albums will be very good, especially as the family grows. I'm sure Fabian would love a sibling!
